| This page has examples of service manuals we sell. All of the service manuals are designed to help do routine maintenance such as oil change, brake pad replacement and tire and battery service. These books also are useful when troubleshooting or trying to determine just what the heck is wrong. Service manuals give complete instructions for all sections of repair including, fuel system, electrical system, transmission, engine, drive system and more. On snowmobile and personal watercraft you get the same coverage. This information can save you lots of money in the long run. Whether you do-it-yourself or just know what your mechanic is talking about and keep him honest. When trying to decide which book is right for you (or as a gift) remember these main points. Choose based on correct make ( Honda, Yamaha, Harley) and model (CBR, YFZ, FLHR) Also the year model is very important (1989-2001) , never assume that no changes were made from one year till the next , make sure it fits your year. New or used condition makes no difference to the machine as long as it is the correct book, so even though we sell mostly new in the wrapper books, don't be afraid of a used book from another seller if the price and condition is right. Clymer or Haynes both make good books but they sometimes include different years and models, so read the descriptions carefully, If you own more than one machine sometimes a book is available that covers both. Most times you won't be that lucky. We will exchange wrong books whenever possible for the correct book (email for terms or visit website). If you have never used or seen a shop manual the pictures below give you a peek at what to expect. Workshop manuals, Shop manuals, Service manuals, Repair manuals are different names for basically the same thing. Owners manuals are usually smaller and less helpful. Downloadable PDF files and CD's are almost always bootleg illegal copies that someone is selling to make a quick buck. All of our manuals are legally obtained and legally published. How can you trust the information to be honest if you can't trust the seller to be honest? We hope this extra information page is of help to you in your purchase decision. Thanks from Kim and Bill at Cycle Manuals.

Haynes brand manuals are great for the do-it-yourselfer. There are hundreds of photos and line drawings with step by step instructions. Written with hands on experience using common hand tools. Haynes started the first manual in 1965 and still has the same ownership. |
| We have been selling Clymer manuals for a long time and we still can't find a company that makes as many diverse titles. The quality and composition is equal to the Haynes manual. Clymer has changed ownership many times but the editors and staff continue to produce a great product. From the early days of reprinting pre-existing manuals and books, till today employing photographers and writers to create original manuals. |

Most of the manuals we sell have wiring diagrams included in the back section of the book. These are very useful when tracing connections or modifying your machine. The default diagrams have always been black and white as shown on the left, but in recent years Clymer and Haynes have been upgrading to color coded versions. |
